Transfer tax |

What is the tax on a home sold in WV and if there is an inspection of the home who pays for it the buyer or seller? |

West Virginia charges a transfer tax of something less than a half of one percent of the sale price. As for a home inspection, if the buyer wants one, the buyer usually pays for it. But anything like that can be decided either way, by the written agreement between the buyer and seller, when they're drawing up the sales contract. |
