Who pays for deed doc stamp?

 |
That stamp that must be on the deed represents a transfer tax and it's usually paid by the seller, the grantor who signs the deed. But if the seller didn't pay it, the buyer would, because it's in the buyer's interest to get that deed entered in the public records. |
