Ms. Lank, I have read that if a person is selling a home, it is a good idea to contract a real estate company to only list your property, for a flat fee. That would be the only thing you are paying for. Are you familiar with any companies to only list a property here?
I can't suggest the names of real estate companies but you should be able to locate one that offers "unbundled" or limited services by calling around. There’s nothing wrong with discount brokers as long as you understand what you're taking on, because you'll have a lot of the usual broker's work to do yourselves. One important task is setting the right asking price, so you attract buyers without short-changing yourselves. Another is making sure potential buyers are financially qualified before you get the house tied up in a contract. And remember that just entering your property is a multiple listing system won't accomplish much unless you're prepared to offer a fee, in the end, to an agent who brings you a buyer
