i am a tenant, I have lived in this house for three weeks. the owner says he has to do a short sale. is it legal to put a tenant in you home if you are already in default? |

First of all, if you have a lease it will be binding on the next owner of the property just as it is with your present landlord. If not -- you were always in danger of being given a month's notice to leave, anyhow.
Should the landlord have warned you about his financial problems? Yes, probably. But what are you going to do about it? -- sue someone who's in financial trouble anyhow? Not worth the trouble. |
