Selling to Former Customers

If I cancelled a listing with an agent in May of 2007, how much time has to pass before I can sell the property to someone who saw it while listed without paying commissions? The potential buyers contacted me two months after the listing was pulled. I have found no clause in the original contract stating a time period.

If you don't trust your own interpretation of the listing contract, take it to your own lawyer for an opinion before doing anything.  I haven't seen your contract.  If it has no broker-protection clause, follow your lawyer's advice.  If it has one but no time limit has been filled in, I can tell you that the courts have upon occasion said the time limit is "whatever is customary".
