Selling to Agent

We are selling our home and have an interested buyer who happens to be an real estate agent. I'm wondering if that agent is entitled to a comission on the sale of our home in the state of Rhode Island. We have our own agent who agreed to a set comission if she sold our house.

Your own agent may already have agreed to share commission with some other brokerage that produces the eventual buyer.  That's her concern, not yours.
There have been occasions where a broker-buyer taking commission has been construed as the illegal practice of dual agency -- all in all, this is a question I'd probably better pass on.  In the end, the question really affects how much you sell the house for, no matter what it's called, and would enter into your money negotiation with that buyer anyhow.
