Seller Moving Out |
| |
 |
I'm selling my house and would like to know how long do I have to move out, or is this up to the buyer? |

In most places, it's usual for the seller to be out of the house ("give occupancy") on the day the house is actually sold, the closing, the time of settlement. I have run into at least one area where it's customary for the seller to remain for 30 days. That's one of the things you and the buyer would agree upon when you sign a binding sales contract. It sounds to me as if you could use the guidance of your own real estate broker, who will lead you through the whole process. |
