Seller Backing Out |
| |
 |
I am selling my house. If a purchase agreement is signed by all parties but no inspection or appraisal has been done yet.
Can the seller "back out" of the purchase agreement if a better offer comes in?
In other words, how many hours / days do you have to break the legal contract?
Thanks, |

I don't know what the contract says, but my guess is that the seller can't just back out and void the contract at this point. A well-drawn contract will make it clear just what rights the seller has and what time limits apply. Better take the question to your lawyer if you really mean it. |
