Replacing Carpet for SAle
  I will probably sell my home in 4 years but it needs replacement carpet now. I would like buy carpet that would help sell my home after this time. Is there a style of carpet (berber, plush, freize, pattern, etc) that would be best to install now if I plan on selling in 4 years. Same question applies to the pile height, density, and color of the carpet.
 
 

Color is easy -- buy something neutral, so that it's likely to fit with potential buyers'  existing furniture.  Price is easy too -- don't spend a lot.   You can get good looks and decent quality at relatively low cost and that's all you need.    Store clerks can tell you what's most popular now, but don't go for anything showy or unusual.
