I own a vacation home in North Carolina with my x. we are both on the deed and mortgage. can i sell my share of the house if he doesnt want to buy me out or sell the house completely? |

You can force a sale by court order. ("partition"). The mortgage would have to be paid off at the sale. As for selling just your share -- you'd have to find a buyer willing to be co-ower with him, and you'd still be personally responsible on the mortgage, so I'd say forget that option. |
