What are your thoughts of my current realtor and neighbors just signing with my realtor to selling their home too! Both of us are relocating out of state (by the way my husband got him his job...was unemployed for 9 mos)? I am sure there is nothing wrong with this, just making things really uncomfortable. We both have ranch homes, some what comp so how can "our realtor" be objective? I think she has put herself and our neighborhood friendship in a negative situation.
Did you ever notice how car dealers all set up shop next to each other? Does your town have a "restaurant row?" There's a good reason why. My feeling is that your sale will benefit from the fact that your neighbor's house is also for sale, and the fact that both have the same agent is probably all to the good. It will bring more traffic to your place. As for the agent being neutral -- it's buyers who make up their own minds, not agents who talk them into a certain property. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
