Day Care Center Next Door

Our next door neighbor wants us not to object to a variance so that she can run a day care for up to 10 children up to the age of 12. They have an ingound pool that she will use. Our lots are about 1/3 of an acre so the noise will certainly reach our house. It is during the day and won't be a problem for us but we are concerned about our property values. We don't know how potential buyers will react. Will the value of our property be reduced if she opens the business next door in our residential neighborhood?

Yes, I think it probably will.  How much I can't say -- I don't know your neighborhood.  You could always call a couple of agents who are active in that area and ask their opinions.
