Cancelling a Listing

What is my legal right to cancel a contract with my realtor agency short of its expiration date?Original contract reads "can cancel with 48 hr notice" One month ago I was going to cancel, I called the Broker, he suggested another agent within his agency, I agreed to this till the expiration date of contract which is June/08 Do I have the right to cancel this contract with no repercussions from this Agency, and hire a new agent to sell my house?

You always have the right to withdraw the agency you gave that brokerage.  You might be asked to reimburse them for their out-of-pocket expenses, mainly advertising.  That doesn't often happen, though.
Yes, you could list with another agent, though if they belong to the same multiple listing system you might find another agent reluctant to step in.  You might talk with them ahead of time to find out.
