Buying New Appliances

I am selling a house on cape cod that has 25 year old applainces. Is it worthinvesting in new appliances or shoud we just sell as is. I am not sure if we would get back in the sell price what it would cost to buy new appliances. many thanks.

I'm not sure you'd recoup your outlay either, but I'm under a handicap here.  I don't know your market, I don't know how expensive the house is or how poor the old appliances are.  You can get much better advice from local real estat brokers, and you can usually ask several to come over and give you advice at no obligation.  The usual "doll-up" advice is to paint, clean carpets or remove them if you have decent hardwood floors, remove clutter and personal items, shine windows and keep the garage door shut and the grass cut.  Usually it doesn't pay to invest real money, but again, I don't know what your place looks like or what price level we're dealing with.  Good luck to you.
