Broker Only Estimates Price |
| |
 |
Ms. Lank: My husband and I are selling our home which sits on 35 acres. The price was determined by our broker. Since there are no other homes in our area to compare to how do we know that price is correct? It was also suggested that because it has been on the market for about a year and has not sold that we should lower the price. Your opinion? |

Brokers don't determine price. Only buyers do that, and after a full year it's clear they've judged your price is too high. With nothing comparable, you'll just have to experiment with dropping the price till you hit a level that attracts offers |
