Hi, I would like to know if I'm entitled to my appraisal fee back if the underwriters did not approve my loan after the loan officer assured me that everything looked ok and there wouldn't be a problem.Also, is there a time frame on this.This happened in the beginning of August. |

An appraiser did the work and got paid for it, so I'm afraid there's no way that money will be refunded. It sounds as if you got caught right in the middle of tightening up credit and qualifications. Everything may indeed have looked good August 1, and impossible by September 1. And unless it's in writing, it doesn't really count. |
