Mortgage in Husband's Name
  My Mortgage is under my husbands name only. If something happens to him . Would the mortgage be transfered to me?
 
  With many mortgages, the loan is called in when there's a change in ownership.  But lenders do not do that when it's a change within the family after a death.  If you inherit the house, you can take over the mortgage.
