Dear Ms. Lank: I called our mortgage company about doing streamline refinancing since we really don't want the expense of refinancing again. They said since they are in another state they can't do it. Is it possible to do a streamline refinance with another mortgage company? If so, how do we find one? |

If you have an FHA or VA loan, you can arrange streamline refinancing with another lender. You just have to call around till you find one handling the procedure. Because streamline refinancing involves re-working of your present mortgage rather than placing a new one, closing costs are minimal. |
