Three Siblings Inherited
  My father died in Virginia with no will. His land was left to me and my 3 siblings. I alone have been paying the property tax for seven years. Must I share the proceeds if I sell the land?
 
 

All co-owners are entitled to a share of the proceeds from a sale.  I believe, though, that you have the right to deduct what you have spent on those taxes, with similar adjustments for any other expenses.  If there is a problem, consult a lawyer.
