Signed a Contract

we signed a p&s to sell our house, closing in 2 months..We want to back out .Can we back out of this deal ?

That "p&s" is evidently shorthand, in your town, for a "purchase-and-sale contract."  And the important word in that is "contract."  When you signed it, you were making a binding promise to buy.  You are legally bound to do so and you could have problems if you backed out.
On the other hand, I can't know the provisions of your contract and whether you have any allowable reason for voiding the deal.  It's time to consult a lawyer, preferably one who specializes in real estate, to see if the document has any escape clause you could use.
