Seller May Not Show |
| |
 |
If a seller does not show up at the closing in order to delay it what are the consequences? I can not delay the closing as I have sold my house and need to have the closing stipulated in the contract. What recourse would I have against the seller. |

If the date of closing is absolutely necessary, it's possible to "make time of the essence" in the contract. This can be done even after the contract has been signed without it. But it's pretty powerful legal ammunition, and should only be used in consultation with your own lawyer, who can also inform you about your other options. |
