Seller Lied About Problem |
| |
 |
We recently purchased a home. As stated in our contract, the sellers were to correct a pretty serious problem. We found out after the fact that they lied and gave us a bogus invoice and never fixed the problem. Now we are stuck with a pretty large bill and don't feel the seller or their agent(whose name was on the invoice) should get away with breaking this contract but don't know how to procede. Do we have a legit argument?? How do we proceed?? Thank you! |

TAke all your papers to a real estate lawyer for advice, and then, if the lawyer thinks you have a good case, either start a lawsuit or, if the amount is within a few thousand dollars, ask for advice about how to represent yourselves in small claims court. |
