	Dear Ms. Lank: I just had to respond to the letter from J.C. "Giving it to the kids" whose kids want them to sign the house over so when nursing home fees might become necessary they can go on Medicaid (public welfare.) My husband and I have planned for nursing home care through living in a continuing care community, as well as purchasing extra insurance. Only if our money should run out would we consider using Medicaid. It is not fair to our society to give the money to the children and let others pay for our care. I do hope that the person they see about estate planning would advise them that way
