What is a "Quiet Title?"
Does it transfer the title completely to another person? |

 |
A quiet title court action clears up conflicting or uncertain claims to ownership or interests in a property. All parties concerned present their claims, and the court issues a judgment or decree settling the matter and lifting the "cloud" from the title. The conflicting claims might involve old easements, remote inheritances, mortgage or tax foreclosure sales, expired land contracts and the like. |
