Property Sold for Taxes

IF SOMEBODY IS PASSED AWAY, IT BEEN 3 YRS. SINCE THEY PASSED,MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN I GET THE PROPERTY THEY OWNED IN MY NAME? IT WAS SOLD, BUT I CAN PAY THE LAND TAXES AND GET THE PROPERTY BACK IN HIS NAME,. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET IT IN MY NAME? THANK YOU, DONALD PARTAIN

I believe there's a chance, in your state, for the owner to redeem property for three years after a tax sale.  But of course there's the question of whether you're the owner.  A lawyer can tell you where you stand and help you if that's possible.
