No Deed To The House

Dear Edith: In 1986 we bought a lot of five acres and we hired a contractor to build our house on it.We had no trouble getting a construction loan and then it converted to a mortgage, which is pretty well paid down now.
We have a deed we received when we bought the land, but we don’t have any deed to the house. Will this make a problem when we go to sell, or for our kids some day in the future? Do we need a lawyer to draw up a new deed?

All you need is that deed to the land.If you own the land, you own anything permanently attached to it. Deeds almost never mention buildings anyhow
