My mother wants to gift me a bare piece of property that is 10-25'wide city lots. What would be the best way to convey this for tax purposes. I also need to borrow against it for building materials. |

Any lawyer can handle the relatively simple paperwork needed to transfer ownership to you. While a gift tax return should be filed, it is possible there won't be any actual tax due. The lawyer can explain. |
