Buyer Claims Roof Leak |

I sold my home back in 10/06, and was just called by the realtor agent that we used. He stated that he was contacted by the person who baught my house stating that she was going to try and go through a mediator to see if she will be able to go after me for a roof that she is stating leaks. This never occured while I owened the home. She had an inspector come out and he found no roof problems. I was wondering if she can actually come after me for something that I knew nothing about?

Anyone can come after anyone about anything. That's not the question. The buyer would have to prove that you knew about the problem and concealed it. The fact that an inspector was involved is good. Based on what you tell me, I don't see that you need to lose any sleep over this. |
