Off-Limits to Children

we own a townhouse, and there are sign posted in the a few carports about children to not play in the parking areas. There are no desginated areas for the children, along with our children we kicks balls and ride bikes etc in the non public street more like flat driveway areas leading into the carports. We got a letter from the association stating that if we allow our children to continue to playout side we will be fined. Is this legal, and how can they say this, this is where we live and there are no desginated child safe areas in teh complex. Can they force us to play only at off site parks and or keep our children inside.

When you bought into the Association, you must have signed a promise to abide by its regulations.  No children in the parking area sounds to me like a perfectly prudent rule.
