Tub or Closet Space |
| |
 |
In our 2000 sq.ft. 3 bdrm rancher, we have masterbath w/garden tub and separate shower. Off another bedroom (which was original master) we have small bath with shower only. Then we have another bathroom with a tub/shower combination. This room needs updating and I would like to take out tub/shower combo and just put in a nice shower which leaves room for more closet space. Would this harm the resale value of our house? |

Call up a few real estate brokers who are active in your area and ask if they think you'll hurt resale value by changing a second tub to a shower with more closet space. I can't judge as well as someone who knows your area could. But if you plan on being in the house for at least several more years, I think you should simply do whatever you like for your own use and enjoyment. |
