Top Producer |

I contacted my Broker in Charge regarding a referral of a family member to a company in another state. My family member requested another agent, preferably the Owner/Broker /Vice President of the franchised/national firm in that area. He said he wanted top producer. when i contacted the referral coordinator at my office to inform her - she stated that like our Broker/Owner of the company, they may not take the referral and the company may send another "hungry" agent out instead. My question is: What are your thoughts on requesting a Broker/Owner to list the house if you want the best with a prvoen record vs. a hungry agent? |

The owner or broker is not always the top producer; sometimes that person serves mainly as administrator or supervisor, and is no longer out in the field. As for whether your relative would be better served by a man or a woman, experienced older agent or eager new one, large franchised firm or small local office -- ther's no one right answer. They all stay in business because each can be effective. The most important thing is to find an agent who inspires confidence, who does business in a way that suits your own temperament. Laid-back, aggressive, leisurely, fast-paced: no one approach is right for every situation or every buyer. |
