	who pays title search in the state of NY, the buyer or the seller?

	With most sales contracts, the seller promises to deliver clear and marketable title, and it's up to the seller to prove that, so the seller would pay. I doubt if that's a matter of law; if the parties agreed otherwise I suppose they could.
