Is it against the law for a real estate agent, a property manager, or a leasing specialist to say an area is safe? |

It's not against the law, except that it's against the law to lie and say that if they know it isn't so. Otherwise, they're just expressing their own opinions.
But I don't think they should. It's much better to give you solid facts: the crime rate in this neighborhood is only such-and-such, for example. That way they're not opening themselves up to so much liability if something goes wrong. They're leaving it up to you to draw their own conclusions. |
