What is a tenant in commom |

| |
 |
A tenant in common is a person who owns property with someone else. They may own equal shares, or different percentages. Each has the right to leave his or her share to anyone they choose to through a will. This is different from owning property as "joint tenants". When people own property together in that way, they own equal shares, and if one dies, the other automatically becomes full owner. |
