My husband and I like the vibe in Silver Lake but it’s a long drive from his office on the west side. Any other areas you would recommend? |

Silver Lake is terrific and has earned its reputation as hip, artsy and relatively affordable. If you are looking for something farther west in the same price range try Culver City. It is centrally located, has a rich movie history and since the city’s revitalization program began in the 1990’s the number of great restaurants, bars, shops, and art galleries has been steadily increasing. The three bedroom homes currently on the market in Culver City range in price from $649,000 – $865,000 and in size from 936 – 2,032 square feet [source: the MLS, mid-May 2007]. |
