Signed Off on Problems |

I am buying a house with some chimney problems (missing a cap, leaks) that were in the disclosure statement with an inspection report and bid. Can I ask the seller to repair these items or is it my responsibility since it was disclosed and I signed the agreement? |

As I always have to say -- I haven't seen the documents involved. But if you're applying for a mortgage, it's possible your lending institution will require the repairs to be made before they'll grant the loan. Then you and the seller will have to decide what's to be done. Again, your sales contract may address the issue. Afraid that's all I can tell you. |
