Seller Backed Out |

we had a signed contract (& $100,000 in escrow) to buy a house; when inspector came, seller announced the deal was off. was this illegal? we aren't going to sue, but wondered how long the seller and their realtor have to legally wait before selling this property at a higher price?? |

If you still want the house, at the agreed price, contact a real estate lawyer. The seller has no right to cancel a binding written contract. If you're not going to go after it, the seller could do anything he wanted. But if they're wise, they'll get a written release from you first. |
