Putting Buyer First |
| |
When searching for an agent to help me buy a home, who will legally have my best interest in mind; as opposed to the seller's? |

A buyer's broker (also known as a buyer's agent), when retained by you, preferably with a written contract, is legally obligated to put your interests first before anyone else's. Specific duties include keeping your information confidential, telling you anything that would be useful in your negotiation, etc. Otherwise you will be dealing with seller's agents, who owe you only honest treatment. |
