Paid-Off Mobile Home |
| |
 |
My husband and I own a mobile home we paid off this summer. Can we use that as collateral for a downpayment for a new house? |

If your mobile home is permanently attached to your own land, you might be able to get a new mortgage on it. Of course that debt could count against you when you looked for another mortgage on a new house. I just don't know enough about your situation, and I'd advise you to talk with a mortgage broker, who can ask you some questions and then tell you where you stand. Good luck. |
