On the Market One Year |
| |

What would be a good starting offer on a home that has been on the market for more than one year, people have relocated, and several homes are for sale in community? The asking price is 330,000.00. |

I don't know what the place is worth, but we do know it's not worth $330,000. If it were, someone would have come forward and offered that much -- that's the definition of market value: what someone will pay. Can you find data on what has sold recently, prices, and how it compares with this property? That's always a good guide. Otherwise, my offhand advice is to stay over $300,000, wherever you do start negotiating. Anything less will be a shock to this seller. |
