Name on the Deed

Dear Edith, my father purchased a house for me and after 10 years transferred it to my name. I am married but never changed my name which I thought my father knew this and he transferred the deed in what would be my married name not my maiden name. Would it be easier for me to change my name which I didn't really want to or how would I change the name on the deed? It seems that it should be neccessary to have matching names or does it go by other information? Let me know correct way to begin with this. Thank You.

I don't think you're in much trouble, but after all, I'm not a lawyer.  Talk with your own attorney, who could take care of the simple paperwork if he or she thinks anything is necessary.
