Must Sell to Buy

My wife are selling our house in PA. I have been down in VA at a new job and we are having trouble trying to get into another house down here in VA. We won't have enough money before the sale of our house that we can use to buy another house in VA. So my question is what are our options?

You can make an offer on a house in VIrginia "subject to" or "contingent upon" the sale of your present house.  That means that you aren't obligated to buy until you sell the Pennsylvania house.  Some sellers won't accept contingent offers, others will.  You always run the risk of being bumped out of the deal by a later non-contingent buyer, though, and then you'd be back to square one.
As for selling your present house -- if you offered it for $2, it would sell this instant.  And somewhere between $2 and what your're asking is a price that will attract offers from buyers.  As you're under some pressure, consider dropping your price till you hit the right level for prompt action.
