Must He Buy? |

I am in a huge bind. I bought a condo, and through bad coincidence found myself in Oregon on business when the inspection was done. The inspector found that the circuit breaker is a FPE Stab Lok, old water heater with PVC pipes, and small problem with the patio. I tried to get out of it, but my realtor said that I would be liable/ responsible for the seller's costs, lender costs and seller realtor costs. And I could be sued for damages. To replace the circuit breaker will cost about 1k. Now the seller is trying to make me pay some additional fees at closing that are not in my good faith estimate and have nothing to do with my loan or immediate costs. Is there anyway I can get out of this contract w/out loosing a huge amount of money? Closing is July 30th!!!!!!!!!! I know this is waaaaay beyond 11th hour. |

Get to a lawyer, preferably one who specializes in real estate, right away. I don't know what your contract says about an inspection contingency, so take your documents to an attorney this minute. |
