Mold in the House |

My husband and I purchased a house in August of 2005 as First time homebuyers. After we had lived in the house about 1 month we started noticing that I was getting rashes and headaches constantly, after a mold test and doctor visits found out that we had excess mold problems in our house. We also found out that the previous owners painted over all the mold problems in the basement and throughout the house. We contacted the realtor that sold us that house to see what we could do since I was getting sick from the house and she was unwilling to help us. Since then we have mold coming through the wood work in the our house and mold standing about 1/2 inch off the walls in the basement. No where in the sellers disclosures does it specifically say that there were known signs of mold or water problems in the basement to which we have both. I was wondering if there was something that my husband and I could do because our realtor and previous owners obviously covered up the mold to sell the house. I am still having headaches and still have a visible rash on my legs doctor noted from the mold. I also have pictures and documents showing the mold just 1 month after we moved into our house. |
