Incentive for Brokers |
| |
 |
My husband and I own a construction business and am now expanding other services. I have a brochure that I would like to drop off to real estate agencies and possibly offer them a percentage. If they're selling a piece of land with timber on it that needs to be cut and they give the brochure. If we get the business can I offer a percentage of the cut or can they just hand this out for me. |

You can make any arrangement you like with brokers, assuming they agree to it. A broker is required by law to disclose to buyers or sellers any extra money collected for referrals -- to mortgage companies, for instance. Whether that would apply to what you suggest I can't say. I guess it would be up to each agency's own interpretation. |
