How Much Commission |

I want to know how much of a real estate commision I should be paying to market a 1.9 million property in Naples Florida? The agent is saying 7%....I think that is absurd. He states that in a split situation you can't get a realator to pay attention unless you give them 3.5% What are your thoughts and how should I approach the agent who originally sold me the property when working for the builder.

Interview several other agents who are active in that neighborhood, and see what they say. No way I can judge, because for one thing I don't know how you've priced the property -- whether you're hoping for more than the agent thinks it's worth or have set a bargain price. That might make a difference.
You should be talking to different brokers before you choose which one to work with anyhow. |
