House Isn't Selling |
| |
 |
Our house has been listed for 6 weeks and we have only had 2 showings. My realtor tells me it's because the market is slow. However, a house very similar to mine in the same neighborhood has been on the marktet for the same amount of time and it has a contingent contract and I am told several showings. Is it our listing agent? We have been unhappy but haven't moved in so long we don't know what to expect. The 2 showings we did have she didn't call the agents for feedback until I called and pressured her to do so. She told me she didn't know that one showing was a second. Do I hang in there with her or find a new agent? I don't feel she is working at all to sell our house. |

Six weeks is pretty early to start worrying in a slow market. You also don't tell me if your place has been listed in a local multiple listing system. If it has, most other agents also know about it and could be bringing their buyers to see it. You'd have to ask why they aren't. You don't tell me one important thing about the comparable nearby house that seems to be moving much faster -- how does its asking price compare to yours? Until I know that, I'm in no position to judge your agent. Write back if you'd like and we can discuss this further. |
