Garages or Pool |

If I knock down my 2 car garage to build an inground pool will it bring my property value down and or raise my property taxes? |

I don't know your neighborhood and what nearby property is like, so there's no way I can judge buyers' reactions to your proposed change. In many areas an inground pool actually makes a house harder to sell. But you can get pretty good answers over the phone just by calling a few local real estate brokers and asking for an opinion.
As for your tax assessment -- call your local assessor's office and ask about their policies on garages and pools.
One other problem -- you are supposed to get your mortgage company's permission before making major changes. |
