Disappointed in Realtor |

We have a realtor who we are GREATLY dissapointed in. In 4 months she has shown the house to 3 people and only hear from her after 3-4 phone calls and it's several days later. I did not get a copy of the contract until 4 months later because she said she had to fax it to my husband for his signature(he was working out of town). She never did that. Is our contract valid without his signature if his name is on the house also? |

My guess is that if you signed the listing contract it's valid. But you should certainly be in touch with the managing broker, the supervisor in that office. Your contract was made with the company, not with the individual agent. Voice your complaints and perhaps your listing can be transferred to another more efficient agent in that same office. If you want to cancel the agency, you always have that right. You might be asked to reimburse the company for out-of-pocket expenses (advertising) but you can always cancel an agency. I would point out, though, that if your property has been multiple-listed for four months and other agents aren't showing it, your asking price is probably too high for today's market. |
