Buying on Land Contract |

Dear Edith,
About twelve years ago i purchased a home on a land contract deal.I was told that i could not make advanced payments, or pay it off ahead of time. I still owe about $ 40,000 for another eight years. I have come into some , and i would like to pay off the home.Can i ?

I hate to keep saying the same thing, but as so often the answer lies in the contract you signed, and your best bet at this point is to take all the documents you have to your own lawyer. When all else fails, RTFC. And if you are really eager to pay the debt off, perhaps offering your seller a bonus would work. |
